WWC Announces New Staff Member
On behalf of the Wabanaki Women’s Coalition, I am pleased to announce that Aline Pardilla has been hired as our new Outreach Coordinator. Aline has the experience, passion and integrity to fully support our communities and the Mission of the Wabanaki Women’s Coalition: “to increase the capacity of tribal communities to respond to domestic and sexual violence and influence tribal, national and regional systems to increase awareness, safety, justice, and healing for all our relations.”
Aline attended the University of Maine Orono, and is a 2021 graduate of the National Tribal Trial Law School. Aline has dedicated the past seven years to the Penobscot Nation Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocacy Center while advocating for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, teen dating violence and sex trafficking. She has extensive training in mental health, response to strangulation, and court advocacy. Aline has worked with various allied agencies on high-risk cases. She is also a part of several local boards including the SART (Sexual Assault Response Team), START (Sex Trafficking and Awareness Response Team), and the Bangor Area Task Force. Aline loves the ocean, forest and mountains and can be found walking several trails in her free time with her two children and husband.
Please join the Wabanaki Women’s Coalition in welcoming Aline in her new role as the Outreach Coordinator. We look forward to the many ways that Aline will be able to contribute to the mission and vision of our organization.
